Your patch test is part of our thorough consultation process. We will assess your skin type and we use this and the information you tell us, about how you tan, your age and health, your ethnicity and any medication you may be taking, to form a safe and effective plan of treatment.
A patch test is the use of the laser carried out on a small area of skin, just as it will be in your full treatments. Its main purpose is to determine the best laser to use and what precise grade of laser energy is required to achieve the best results for your skin and hair type.

preparation for your patch test appointment
- Do not shave/wax the area to be treated prior to your consultation/patch test appointment (attend with full/some hair growth).
- Bring a list of any medications you are currently taking and the dosage.
- If you have certain medical conditions which require a medical note from your doctor please bring that with you (failure to supply this will result in appointment cancellation).
- Photographs of the treatment area will be taken at the time of this appointment (these will be stored according to GDPR regulations). This will enable us to monitor progress.
- Payment for your treatment package will be taken at this appointment therefore please bring necessary funds/bank details. Finance packages may be available. Please contact us to discuss.
